Understanding Social Dynamics: Why Cultural Volunteering Is So Important In My Life

The days I spent this weekend volunteering with FAI, the Italian Environment Fund, led me to think about this phenomenon of cultural volunteering. Interestingly, not only was I very enthusiastic after participating in this initiative, but all the volunteers wrote in the group how happy they were to participate.

Understanding Social Dynamics: Why Cultural Volunteering Is So Important In My Life

This morning, I read an article published in the USA that talked about the running trend, of meetings of people who run all dressed in the same brand's products and thus ultimately forming brand clubs throughout the country and not unions for interests (running, precisely).

What Happens If You Walk Everyday?

Walking is awesome for health in so many ways. First off, it's like a free ticket to a healthier heart. When you walk, you get that blood pumping and your heart gets stronger. Plus, it's a great stress-buster. When you're out for a walk, you can clear your mind and let go of all that tension. And don't even get me started on how it can help you lose weight. It's a simple way to burn some extra calories and keep that metabolism going strong.

What Happens If You Walk Everyday?

Another cool thing about walking is how it can boost your mood. Seriously, it's like nature's happy pill. When you're walking, your brain releases those feel-good chemicals that can lift your spirits and make you feel more positive. Plus, it's a great way to get some fresh air and soak up some Vitamin D from the sun. And let's not forget about how it can improve your overall fitness level. Park of the Silent, A Place In The Woods To Lay The Ashes Of Loved Ones

During my little walk today I suddenly came out in front of a place called "Park of the Silent". Only when I got closer did I realize that it was a place to place the ashes of loved ones. I've seen a place like this before. Actually, two. But it seems to me that they were dedicated to animals.

Why Solo Learners of the English Language Face Issues With Pronunciation

As a teacher with years of experience, I have observed that many individuals encounter specific pronunciation challenges when they begin to learn the English language independently. While self-study can be a valuable and empowering way to learn a new language, it's important to be aware of the common pitfalls that learners may face, especially in the realm of pronunciation.

Why Solo Learners of the English Language Face Issues With Pronunciation

One prevalent issue that arises when studying English solo is the lack of immediate feedback and correction. Without a teacher or language coach to provide guidance, people may develop incorrect pronunciation habits that can be challenging to rectify later on. These mistakes can become deeply ingrained, making it harder to unlearn and retrain the correct sounds.

The Spring Flowering of Epiphyllum Begins

Epiphyllum, also known as orchid cactus, is a stunning and unique plant that is sure to add a touch of tropical beauty to any home or garden. These plants are native to Central and South America and are known for their large, showy flowers that bloom in a variety of colors, including pink, white, yellow, and red.

I have about fifteen varieties of epiphyllum at home and almost all of them flowered last year, except this one you see in the photo. So, this is its first flowering. Other varieties have buds but need still time to open them.
