Floors If The Roman Houses

You remember surely my post about Roman "art of life", Pictures On The Walls In Herculaneum/ Ercolano, where I posted some photos of the pictures that were on the walls of the Roman houses. I want to write about some other posts about the art in the life of Romans and this is the second post about the decorations of the floors.

We noticed that many houses had marble on the floors and not simple pieces but made like carpets or pictures and ornaments.

Here is one of the most believed topics from the entrance of one of the houses of Pompei

My photos are from Herculaneum. Most of them, except the last here are from the male and female public baths.

This house has this beautiful carpet. Floors in the other houses were made more or less the same way.
